I’m about halfway through my initial six treatments so it’s time to share with you guys my PMD results so far. If you’re new to the crew and you’re thinking “Da Fuq is a PMD?” then please click here to read the first part of this series where I explain all of that and show specifics on what I’m hoping it will fix and so on.
To be entirely honest this update isn’t all that exciting because looking at my up close photos side by side I’m not seeing a difference so far…
THE RESULTS SO FAR:
I mean in all honesty looking at that I don’t see any difference as far as skin texture is concerned. Near the bottom of the jaw line it seems like things may be looking a bit more smooth. Maybe. The issue in the area is more about clogged pores than scarring, so I’m not surprised that it would take care of that more easily.
What I am really pleased with is the softness of my skin for the days following the treatment as well as how clear my skin has been. With the exception of one pimple that I caused myself by squeezing a blackhead like a big dummy, it has been completely clear, even around my jawline where I normally have a little bit of a breakout during that time of the month.
WHAT I’M HOPING FOR:
I’m hoping that I see more improvement in the skin texture as I increase the intensity over the course of the next few treatments, but I’m not getting my hopes up about my pitted scars at this point. Maybe I’m just jaded because I’ve been boned by the promises of skin treatments so many times in the past. Maybe the next few treatments will be like a goddamn miracle and the next update my skin will look like a baby’s ass on a spring afternoon. Maybe it will just take longer than six weeks and I will have to extend this into an ongoing series. Only time will tell.
I’ll check back in after the next few weeks of treatments with some more PMD results, and then we can make the final verdict…like Judge Judy, but less mean.
