Let me set the scene for you:
You’re out somewhere, your eyeliner is so on point, your contour is cut, your highlight is reminding people that somewhere angels are singing on high. You are walking around serving up plates of fleek and strutting down every street like it’s your private runway. Then you walk into the bathroom, check your face in the mirror and see this…
Noooooo! The end times are upon us! Everything is ruined! But you don’t have to live in fear. Here’s what you need to do if your false eyelashes keep falling off:
- GIVE THE BAND A WIGGLE: Before you even think about applying the lashes, give the band a little wiggle with your fingers. Sometimes the lash band is a bit stiff and if you find that your false lashes keep falling off at the corners, then this might be why. Wiggling it around a bit will help soften it up and then the glue doesn’t need to work so hard to stay stuck, ya know?
- DON’T SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRE LASH GLUE: Back in my teen years, the makeup world was a very different place, and if you wanted eyelash glue you had drugstore options and not much else. You could go to Sephora, but they also just sold duo so pickings were pretty slim. Nowadays there are much better options out there, that will keep your lashes stuck on much tighter. Personally I am a big fan of the House Of Lashes Glue. It actually stays on and it comes with a brush applicator…and you’ll see why thats important in a moment.
- ADD EXTRA GLUE TO EACH END OF THE BAND: That’s where it tends to lift so a little extra sticking power in those areas can help a ton.
- BRING THE GLUE IN YOUR PURSE AND TOUCH UP: This is why the brush applicator is so important. Once you have the lashes on, adding extra glue is nearly impossible if you are using the glue in a squeeze tube. With a brush applicator you can dab a tiny bit of glue on the spot that needs it, pop the lash back in place, and go about your day without ruining your makeup, because you know if you peel them off they’ll take 80% of your eyeliner with them and leave a half lb. of glue behind as well. It’s so much more convenient this way.
See how you can just dab the tiny applicator where you need it? Try doing that with a squeeze tube of Duo, I dare you ?
Now you know what to do if your false eyelashes keep falling off, go forth and be fab without fear!
