I havent written a blog post in a few days so I feel like I forgot how to use human words. Four days without writing and I turn into Nell, can you imagine if I was actually isolated? Yeeesh!

Let’s talk about your eyebrows…that sounds like an intervention with that one friend we all have that’s a little tweezer happy. Let me rephrase. Let’s talk about Maybelline Brow Drama. I usually dismiss products that I see in commercials until I see real life people review them. They use false eyelashes in mascara commercials so clearly “they” can’t be trusted. When I saw Sam from Pixiwoo say that she liked brow Drama so much that she was worrying that they might discontinue it I figured it was worth a go so I grabbed one while I was in Target.

THE PRODUCT: It comes in what is essentially a mascara tube, and has a fairly large mascara wand with a ball shaped end. It comes in five colors so odds are you will probably be able to find one to suit your needs and it is very affordable at around $7-8 USD.

THE PROCESS: It’s an interesting application process. You take the big, round end of the brush and brush the product through your eyebrow hairs in the wrong direction and essential make them look a mess. Then you take the brush again and comb them back into place.

THE RESULT: The results are surprisingly awesome! I’m in the process of growing in my brows a little more so they are especially unruly, but it really put them in their place. Check out the before and after.

It definitely deposits some color on the skin so that is a great way to fill in gaps without much effort. It adds some volume and texture to the existing hairs and best of all it really locks them in place. I wore this all day and took a beanie on and off at least five times and they were right where I left them. It’s similar to benefit gimme brow in that it is a gel that also helps to fill in the gaps by adding in texture and depositing color on the skin, but the actual “brow gel” part is better. It definitely does a better job of keeping them in place.

These glamorous action shots were taken a few hours after I applied the product. I sat down at my vanity to touch them up because I assumed they were looking a little nutty but I didn’t even need to fix them.

This is perfect to use on its own if you are going for a very natural look, or if you want to offset a very graphic and bold eye look with a bit of a softer brow. I sort of gives that effortless “model brow” look but you could also add a little brow pencil or Anastasia Dipbrow if you really wanted to sculpt them out but keep a lot of texture. I think that would look supa dooooope.

THE VERDICT: Maybelline Brow Drama isn’t just good for a drugstore product, if this were something offered by a high end brand and it cost twice as much I would still be very happy with my purchase. High end quality at drugstore prices . . .thats the dream, people!
