This morning I woke up and realized HOLY CRAP May starts tomorrow. That may not sound like a big deal to you, but pretty much my entire family has their birthdays in the first week of May. My mind and my credit card are not prepared for all this gift giving. To top it off, mother’s day is coming up too so I have got a lot to do!

Even if Mother’s Day is your only gift giving obstacle this month, you may still be freaking the heck out looking for ideas, so I put together a little list of Mothers Day Gifts of various prices to help inspire you on what to get your Momma.

When it comes to mother’s day gifts, getting her something a little pricey is nice but not everyone can swing a pricey gift every year. I like to proceed with the idea that even if it’s something small, it should be something she probably wouldn’t treat herself too. Thats what makes it a little more special!

1. Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter - If your mom is the kind of lady who doesn’t go out of the house rocking a red lip every day, and most likely has a classic Chapstick in her purse, then a nice luxurious lip butter will be a great treat for her! I really like the Korres lip butter in Pomegranate because it gives a nice flush of color to the lips (and it’s on sale on amazon right now!) It’s a small gesture, but if it’s something luxurious she wouldn’t usually buy then she will love it! I also find that the packaging is nice, but still mature so she won’t feel weird carrying it around. Gotta keep it classy for mom! Of course it doesn’t have to be this exact product, just an idea. Oh and to make it extra cute you can put it in am organza pouch, I like to keep these around for small gifts because they aren’t expensive and they make it look much more put together!
2. Clarisonic Mia - If you have a little extra dough to spend, then a Clarisonic might be the perfect gift. It’s such a nice thing to have, and moms love things that are good for their skin (forreeeever young) but it doesn’t imply that she NEEDS something for her skin either, it just seems luxurious. Side Note: don’t get her wrinkle cream for mothers day. That won’t go over well.
3. Victor&Rolf Flowerbomb Cream - If your mom loves scents, then a scent cream is a huge treat. They are usually WAY expensive compared to regular body cream, so odds are she isn’t treating herself to one on the regs. If your mom has a signature scent, check and see if they make a matching cream, but if not then try the Victor&Rolf Flowerbomb cream because I am seriously in LOVE with this scent. I get compliments every time I wear it so it seems to be pretty universally liked. This isn’t exactly budget friendly, but it’s less expensive than a Clarisonic so it’s kind of in the middle.
4. Lip Gloss Set - If you’re looking to strike less fear into the heart of your wallet, a nice lip gloss set makes a great gift! Sets are great because the person who receives the gift gets to sample a few different things, so chances higher that they will like SOME of it. I like to get my mom a sampling of some of my favorite lip glosses from time to time because I know she will probably like them if I do, so if you have a holy grail formula, then maybe try to find a gift set of those. But as for my recommendation, I really love Buxom glosses as gifts because they plump without being tingly or irritating and the light mint scent is pretty inoffensive. This set in particular is great because it has nudes and bright (hence the name, duh) so momma will have a lot of variety to play with.
5. DIY Body Products - When all else fails, moms love something that you made. Noodle art for the fridge might not get the reaction it once did, but a nice handmade beauty item like a scrub or a body butter will still make her a happy camper. I did a DIY Gift Roundup for the holidays, and they’re all pretty easy to make, so if you’re broke or just waited until the last minute, don’t worry I got you 😉
