12 Days of Holiday Makeup - Day 9 Black Winged Liner Dabbed with Gold

Hey everyone! It the monday before Christmas and that probably means you have a few holiday parties to go to this week. It can be really hectic trying to go to all of those events AND get last minute things done, so I guess it’s a good thing we are closing in on the end of our holiday looks!

Personally, I still have to get a few more last minute gifts today, and finish my wrapping, and buy ingredients for baking…and then baking those into edible form, and still figure out what I’m wearing…(not to mention blogging and filming! eek!)

So at least I know I have a slew of makeup looks to choose from when I finally figure out my outfit!

Which brings us to Day 9!

I saw something similar to this one Pinterest a while back (gotta give credit where it is due lol) but it was a bit more subtle, and I thought “Hmm that would look super awesome for a Christmas look”

To get this look is stupid easy…

Step 1- Apply your favorite shadow base and then cover the whole lid in a matte eyeshadow the same color as your skin.

Step 2- Highlight your inner corner with a shimmery pale pink color. This will brighten everything up and make you look awake and ready to party!

Step 3- Apply liquid eyeliner to the top waterline to make a wing. Make it on the thick side, because the gold breaks it up a bit and it needs to be bold (FYI I learned this by trial and error)

Step 4- take a small, dense shading brush and use it to pat a gold shadow in the center of the bacl liner. When you apply it, look straight ahead and place the gold on the highest point of the lash line where the center of your eyeball is. This gives the appearance that the gold is a highlight.

Step 5- Apply a cream or pale pink liner to the water line. Curl the lashes, add mascara on top and bottom and finished!

See? Easy as pie…mmm pie.

-Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Goldilux

For the waterline I used Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in midnight cowboy, but unfortunately that was limited edition in the anniversary set (So many of my favorite products are LE, What gives?) They do have a shadow pencil in the same shade which will work just as well, it is just a little fatter of a pencil. It has a tiny amount of glitter in it though, so be careful if you have sensitive eyes or wear contacts.
