You probably know by now that I’m obsessed with Living Proof haircare. I live for their Full Shampoo and Conditioner (which is holy sh*t on sale for 30.50 for the set right now on amazon! Pardon me while I stock up for the year) and their dry shampoo is hands down my favorite that I have ever used. Ever. In my entire life.
The problem is, that brand ain’t cheap. While I don’t really mind with the shampoo and conditioner because they last a really long time since I’m a nasty bish who doesn’t wash my hair often, I go through the dry shampoo much more quickly. Ironically also because I’m a nasty bish who doesn’t wash my hair often. Ha!
So in between purchases of my favorite Living Proof Perfect Hair Day I find myself searching for the best budget dry shampoo. My go to is usually the Dove Refresh+Care Volume and Fullness but the last time I went to Target they had a new kind called Refresh+Care Detox and Purify. I decided to give it a try because, ‘ello! It’s what I do. I. AM. IN. LOVE.
As it stands currently, this is the best budget dry shampoo. In my opinion anyway.
WHY I LIKE IT SO DAMN MUCH:
- It’s super light - No gross heavy gritty feeling here. No siree.
- I don’t get a white cast on my roots - Unless I go crazy and apply way too much this doesn’t give me old lady roots. Which is rare for me since my hair is almost jet black.
- There’s no strong smell - It is scented don’t get me wrong, but I don’t smell it all damn day.
- It’s cheap - $4.49 not including any sales.
- It’s easily accessible - I found it at target but I looked around and it seems to be popping up at most major drugstores that carry dove now.
- It gets the job done - It makes my hair feel refreshed and clean…unlike some other pricey ones I may or may not have tested recently which will remain nameless
So if you’re looking for some fresh hair on the cheap, there you have it! Give it a try and let me know what you think.
