“Wow Nicole this has nothing to do with makeup get out of my face, and quite frankly also my life” Is what you might be thinking. Wow, dude you are HARSH. I’m just over here trying to show you guys what I’ve been up to because I have been having some fun man, and you’re killin’ my vibes!

LOL ok joking aside I have been being mad outdoorsy these last few weeks and I wanted to share some of my photos with you because I thought that maybe I might have some cool suggestions if you live in the Northeast and want to get out and enjoy some leaves and outdoor fall festivities, maybe get a little exercise, drink a few ciders, that type of thing.

First of all we hiked Mt Major in the lakes Region of New Hampshire last week. I have hiked it before and I didn’t suggest it to anyone because we took a pretty hard trail and I didn’t want to be responsible for anyone falling off a rock and meeting their demise. This time we took the easiest trail and it was…well, easier. No climbing or scrambling, just a few rocky areas that you can walk up albeit very carefully. We took the yellow trail, which is 3.7 miles to the summit. The amazing thing about this hike is that for the relatively short distance you get a huge payoff as far as the views. You’ll see in the photos. That shit is pretty. I sent some photos to my dad and he said “wtf are you in Alaska?!” lol nope poppa Quinn, just the beautiful old granite state.

Last weekend we also spent a few days in my in-laws cabin in the Catskills. It’s legitimately in the middle of nowhere and I only get internet service when we drive into a town. It’s nice, but also maddening. I need to google things and answer emails, but I also like being left alone. Life is weird.

While we were up there we attended the Taste of the Catskills festival which I have been to before and I really dig but it was cold and windy up in those mountains so our visit was a little shorter than last year.

Here are some preemptive answers to questions you might ask yourself as you look at the photos:

• “Can you show me where you got that blah blah blah?” Yes I did link as many of the items I’m wearing as I could find below the photos. Some are a little old or sold out but I’ll do my best to find it or link something as similar as possible.
• “Can I go to the Taste ofThe Catskills Festival Too? I Love food and drinks and trees!” Yes totally! It’s over for the year but you can check out their site HERE. They do it yearly in Delhi NY and I’m pretty sure they bus in hipsters from Brooklyn because I’m not sure how they all get there.
• “Nicole, you are basically Katniss Everdeen in both body and spirit. Can you shoot a 1946 wooden Longbow that’s as tall as you off a porch?” No, no I can not. But I tried.
• “Do French Bulldogs love romping around in grass that’s taller than them and getting filthy?” Inarguably, yes.
• “Who’s that guy you’re hanging out with?” That’s my husband. He’s the greatest, and anyone who says otherwise goes in the chokey.
• “How tall are you?” As tall as your mom! Just kidding I’m 5’10”
