You’ve probably seen the Ouai haircare line all over social media lately, and you’ve probably noticed that every Ouai wave spray review has been overwhelmingly positive. Granted a lot of times when things start popping up all over the internet, it’s just hype and the product isn’t that great, but for some reason I was driven to shell out a few bucks to try this one and let me tell you…believe the hype. This shit is good.
HOW YOU USE IT //
It says to spray it in damp or dry hair and style as usual or let air dry. I have tried both dry and damp and damp is definitely the way to go in my opinion.
WHAT IT DOES //
Adds bounce, body and texture to the hair but simultaneously feels like there’s nothing in it. It’s like faking a naturally amazing hair day.
WHAT ARE THE CONS //
This may be an unpopular opinion but for me, the only con is the smell. Everyone and their momma is going off about how great it smells but in my opinion it smells like an old lady. That being said, the smell fades quickly and I like it enough that I don’t care about the smell anyway.
There’s a little gif I made of my snap story from yesterday. It was the first time I tried it in damp hair, and I simply sprayed it in, rough dried my hair and then added in a few waves with my straightener. I got that much body from it and it lasted all day. I’m in love. Also follow me on snapchat because I’m a whacko and we have a lot of fun on there and I give sneak peaks of blog and instagram stuff all the time, just sayiiiiiin’.
When I first heard of this product I was hesitant actually because I’m so partial to my Bumble & Bumble Surf Infusion but it actually serves a very different purpose than a beach-wave spray. It’s more like it adds extra natural wave and texture to your hair, rather than adding any grit or crunch. As a matter of fact I bet combining them would make some BOMB easy-peasy beach waves…ok I’m going to have to try that and get back to you guys.
