I’ve been writing a lot of tips and technical no nonsense review type posts lately and I think it’s time to just kick back, and have a look at some purdy new makeup products that I have my eye on.

Sometimes it’s good to do a little digital retail therapy, even if it’s mostly window shopping.

1. MARC JACOBS MAGIC MARC’ER EYELINER PEN // A good friend of mine was wearing this when I was visiting around Thanksgiving and she had only just begun to try it out at the time, but I knew right then and there that it looked really good. Then yesterday she texts me that she hasn’t even picked up her Kat Von D Tattoo Liner since she got it….umm excuse me? That’s insanity. Personally I don’t know that it will replace my KVD Tatoo Liner because it’s got a bit of a more shiny finish and I’m not sure if I want that every day, but I am pretty damn excited to try it now.
2. DOSE OF COLORS LIQUID LIPSTICK IN CHOCOLATE WASTED// I’ve been looking for a beautiful dark chocolate brown Liquid Lipstick for a while now and nothing was 100% tickling my fancy. There are a few shades from colourpop that fit the bill, and while those are really good for the price they still aren’t my absolute favorite as far as formula so I hadn’t bothered to go for it. When I saw that Dose Of Colors was releasing a chocolate color I literally put a reminder in my phone for the date they would be released. Does that sound a bit extreme? Then I guess I shouldn’t tell you about the time I got out of bed in the middle of the night because I forgot to get a new ABH lipstick that had just been released. Whoops. Anyways, I took a while to try the Dose Of Colors formula but now that I did I’m diggin’ on it, hardcore. It stay’s feeling a little tacky throughout the day, but that doesn’t bother me because they wear really well and they smell exactly like Cocoa Krispies.
3. DOSE OF COLORS EYEDEAL DUOS // Speaking of DoC, they also recently released a new product called the eyedeal duos which are pigments that come with their own primer in a matching color. They are a little pricy for a single color at 25 bucks, but I’m assuming you can probably use the products individually as well. Either way the swatches they put up on their Instagram are insane so even at 25 bucks I know I’m gonna try them.
4. CIATÉ LIQUID VELVET LIPSTICKS // Normally I don’t look twice at this brand. I’m not really sure why because I’ve heard good things but I dunno something about their whole image never appealed to me. But when I saw that they have a new liquid lipstick formula my interest was peaked, especially when I started reading reviews and they were overwhelmingly positive. I think I will probably want to see these in person before I decide to try them because a few reviews mentioned that the online photos of the shades were not accurate, but I will definitely be walking out of a a Sephora with swatches all over my hand and arms in the near future.
5. VELOUR SILK LASHES FLUFF’N THICK COLLECTION // I have been dying to try mink lashes but I also can’t really bring myself to wear animal hairs glued to my face. Not only are they insanely expensive but I also just think it’s a little creepy. I’ve heard that these silk lashes by Velour do a great job of replicating the fluffy effect of mink lashes by using silk, so I think that’s a good alternative. I’ll let you know what I think if I try them.
6. STILA AQUA GLOW SERUM FOUNDATION // Stila is one of my all time favorite brands. They started my love affair with liquid lipsticks way back when I first made this blog. I like the concept of a serum foundation but so far none of the ones I have samplesd have really worked for me, I’m hoping maybe Stila in their infinite wisdom have done serum foundation in a way that will work for my skin…but I’ll definitely be trying it in sample form first just in case.

That’s all the new makeup I’ve personally been eyeballing lately. If I try any of it and fall in love I’ll be sure to let you guys know in a “product pick” post. In the meantime, let me know if you’ve got your eye on anything in particular, I’m not about to limit myself to this little list ?
