Heyyyyy errybody! Woooo this last few weeks have been such a blur! I had my mom and my sister here for a weekend and then my husband was on vacation for ten days and we went on a road trip and had a ton of fun and I ate literally every food that the North east had to offer. Donuts, belgian fries, kale salad with duck on top, all sorts of hard cider, tapas, omlettes…Needless to say I have been hitting the gym pretty hard this week since I’ve been back but it was worth it.
We also went to see one of Robert Frosts homes, which was really cool to see. That guy was quite a character.
Also, I SnapChatted the whole thing and it was SO much fun to document it and then be able to save it to have the memory of it all so I will totally be doing that more often and I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty fun and you should follow me. I’ll just leave this here for you in case you decide to do that…
That being said, this whole last few weeks has started to blend together so I don’t really have that many “I wore these makeup looks when we went to blah blah blah” stories for you. Womp womp. I’ll try to remember what I can though.

I did this look last Tuesday I believe, because that’s when my Anastasia Dusty Rose Lipstick finally arrived, and I went Dusty Rose crazy. I even used the Dusty Rose Eyeshadow from the artist palette on my eyes. To be honest though, the star of the show was really the liner I used in my waterline. If you are looking for a deep, inky blue eyeliner pencil that looks almost wet when you apply it, then grab Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Sabbath. It’s good stuff and it even manages to stay on the waterline pretty much all day.

Whenever you feel like your makeup look might be a little boring, throw on some House of Lashes Iconic lashes. Instant Drama. Also worth noting, if you like matte lips but aren’t into liquid to mattes then try the Urban Decay Revolution Matte Lipsticks. They’re really comfortable but they stay on really well. Wow, I’m really talking up the UD stuff this week! This isn’t like a weird Urban decay advertisement, those two products just happen to be poppin AF.

Everyone is getting super hype for fall colors already and I’m over here trying to force myself to use color while it still makes sense. I knows this isn’t a ton of color by most standards, but I really gravitate to neutrals so for me this is a lot. Once fall comes and I have no reason to push the colors its gonna be brown and bronze and burgundy lips all up in your face so soak in all this fuchsia now. It’s not going to last.
The combination of Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks in Dusty Rose and and Veronica applied as an Ombre lip were made for each other. That’s what I did with this look and it honestly looks like one color but it give your lips so much extra shape and dimension. Definitely a go to day to day combination from now on.

I feel like I was channeling my inner @Dominiqueldr with this look. I contoured my inner eye socket next to my nose, splashes of color, grungy lip. I mean she makes mine look like caca by comparison, but I love her style and this was definitely a fun look to try out. The lip was an ombre type thing using dusty rose again, but this time I used Sepia on the outer portion. It’s a good combination too, very 90s and fun. I likey.
I also snapped the whole application process of this look…just sayin’.

This one I DO remember because it was just the other day. I put this whoooolllle face of makeup on and when I was done I realized I had a cold and I felt like a pile of ass. I almost took it off and crawled into bed but I felt bad to cancel plans so I put on my comfiest outfit and headed out to the movies. I did peel off my lashes before we left though. I was all sniffly and congested and I just could NOT with having things glued to my eyes. Could. Not.
We saw Straight Outta Compton, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a good movie, even if you aren’t into hip hop or rap music. My husband doesn’t know much about it at all and he liked it a lot.
So that’s what I’ve been up to the last few weeks, hopefully the next time I post this it will be time for some smokey bronze makeup looks and super dark lips. I’ve got that fall itch in my bones!
