First things first, I just discovered that one of my guest bedrooms has Northern Light exposure and makes lighting product shots a dream. So can I get an Hallelujah, thank you universe on that? You can actually see the real life colors of those polishes in the above photo and its all natural light! Pew pew pew, Love it.

Anyway, it’s that time you guys. Fall is creeping in. I get to wear beanies again soon, and wear all my dark lipsticks and wear the BEST nail colors because we all know fall nail colors are the best of all time. It’s just a fact, jack. Last year my picks were a little bit more muted and I think all of them were cream finishes as well. Those colors are still bangin’ so if that’s the mood you’re in this season go ahead and check those out too.

My fall nail colors for this year are mostly metallic or shimmery. Some of them are old favorites and some are new for fall 2015 collections. I mean just because something isn’t brand new to the market doesn’t mean it can’t be so fierce for this fall. Can’t no marketers tell us what to do! Actually that’s sorta their whole job, but we can still do what we want too.

• ESSIE ‘BELL BOTTOM BLUES’ // I don’t know if Essie is stepping their game up on purpose or what but their fall line this year is dooooope. Bell Bottom Blues is a deep metallic blue, and it’s hard to see in photos but it has a very subtle green duochrome shift. It’s basically what a mermaid would wear in the fall. Enough said…except not enough said because the formula is also beautiful. I bought three colors from the collection and they all go on super smooth and are almost opaque in one coat.
• ZOYA ‘SANSA’ // I may have put this in a “Holiday nail colors” post before now that I think about it, but c’mon its good enough to make a second appearance. I love Zoya’s colors, and while I don’t generally love their formula, this one goes on beautifully and wears well. Which is good because the color gives me a serious nail boner. Rich purple and gold glitter. Yes please and thank you.
• ESSIE ‘LEGGY LEGEND’ // Another one from the new Essie fall line and daaaaaamn homie, I have been waiting for a color like this forever. A super metallic bronze thats a little dark and very warm. All the bronze colors I have found before this have been either too light, too neutral, or not metallic enough. This is just perfect and warm and fall-ish and extra added bonus - I wore this one for a week already without any chips so it isn’t one of those metllic shades that flakes off really fast.
• ESSIE ‘BAHAMA MAMA’ // This color as been around for quite a while, but as far as typical burgundy, plum shades go you can’t beat it. Its that perfect balance of purple and red. Not really sure why they call it Bahama Mama since it’s pretty dark and doesn’t make me feel tropical at all, but whatever. What’s in a name anyway?
• OPI ‘MYPRIVATE JET’ // Also old school, and still totally on my radar for fall. I remember going to see my nail tech back in Queens and her telling me this was Kim K’s favorite nail polish, and that seems like it happened a thousand years ago. But this color is like a deep brownish gray with silver and duochrome shimmer. It’s pretty damn cool, and it’s one of those colors thats really dark and chic without being so dark that it looks vampy…you know what I mean? It’s a keeper

So those are my fall nail colors of choice as it stands right now. I’m wearing Leggy Legend as we speak and I’m OB-SESSED. Of course if there are any colors you think I need need need this fall, leave me a comment and let me know and I’ll probably put on my shoes and go out to find it immediately 😉
