I’m not sure how many of you boys and girls out there wear clip in extensions, but if you do you might be plagued with the question of how to store them. Some sets come with a clip to hang them with, but most don’t. So what do us resourceful folks do to solve this issue? Jam them in drawer and hope for the best and pull out a nasty ball of ratchet hair when you find them a year from now? Nope that’s not the answer.
We could go an order an extension hanger but why wait and pay money when there’s essentially the same thing at our fingertips? Instead we make a DIY hair extension holder from things we already have! It’s easy, I show you…
Ok first things first. You’ll need a hanger, some claw clips and your weave…obviously.
Take any one weft clips that you have and stack them together by clipping each one into another’s hairs…that sounds weird. Ok let’s try explaining that again.
Clip them into another one weft piece like you would clip them into you hair, then clip another onto that piece and then repeat until all of them are stacked together….There we go now that makes sense!
Then just take the stack and clip them to a larger piece with more wefts. The reason I do this part is because the single pieces tend to come loose and wander off on their own if I just hang them with the rest of the pieces. There just isn’t a lot of surface area for your clips to grab onto. This way everything stays where you want it, none of the pieces are going on a walkabout.
To hang them all up just put two claw clips over the bottom of the hanger, stack all of your extension pieces as neatly as you can and use the ends of the clips to grab them. It’s so simple, but it gets the job done! In less than five minutes you can have your own DIY hair extension holder. ?
