If there is one thing the makeup world doesn’t need more of, it’s eyeshadow palettes…yet every time a fun new one comes out I buy it, so figure that sh*t out. The point is, it can be a pretty murky world out there if you’re trying to figure out which might be the best eyeshadow palette for what you want. Lucky for you I buy way too many, so I’ve been been able to really think it over and I’ve chosen my top five. I chose the best quality but with different attributes so you can pick one thats best for you.
See? No worries QuinnFace will always sort ya out.
The best if you:
- Love plum or mauve toned neutrals rather than true neutrals or warm ones.
- Enjoy mostly shimmers with a few matts to help ground them.
- Prefer classic looks with a lot of options.
- Don’t like shadows that are too soft, but still want good pigmentation.
The best if you:
- Really like to keep it simple
- Prefer true neutrals that aren’t too warm or too cool
- Have a smaller budget but want good quality
- Prefer the minimalist look
- Do a lot of traveling and want to pack light
The best if you:
- Live for mattes.
- Want a good selection of mattes to help ground your other shimmery shades.
- Want a matte palette with highlight and contour shades that has variety of cool and warm tones.
- Like your eyeshadows to be super soft and easy to blend.
- Want to be able to create super minimal or super dark looks with one palette.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS ARTIST PALETTE
The best if you:
- Want to play with colors, but keep it a little tame.
- Want colors but also want interesting neutrals to keep them wearable (seriously dusty rose though *swoon*)
- Want to experiment with something a little new, but with some classic options too.
- Prefer your shadows to be soft and buttery with a lot of pigment.
The best if you:
- Prefer warmer neautrals (as opposed to the cool mauve ones in the naked 3)
- Want you shadows to be slightly shimmery but not metallic, with a few super shimmery highlight shades and a matte or two for balance.
- Want some really luxe packaging.
- Prefer your shadows to be bendable and buildable, with a texture that isn’t too soft.
- You need shadows that wear for a really long time…because these definitely do.
And those are my thoughts on that! Hopefully if you’re still shopping around for the best eyeshadow palette for your needs that can help you figure it out a little more easily. Do you have a favorite eyeshadow palette? Let me know what it is and why!
