I’m sitting here, thinking about new spring shopping ideas, because you know spring started the other day…and it’s snowing outside. WTF even is that? This post wont go up for a few days so hopefully by the time you read this, it will be over and mother nature can kiss my big pale booty. JK, mother nature. You’re beautiful and powerful and amazing, please don’t kill me.
Just because it’s snowing doesn’t mean I cant gear up for exciting spring must haves though! let’s do this thaaaang
- St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Facial Oil - Once the season for short sleeves arrives I start putting a little bit of a fake tan on. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with being fair, I just feel more comfortable showing my limbs when they’re tan. It hides a lot of things, ya know what I’m sayin? The problem is a lot of self tanners look gross when you put them on your face, or cause breakouts, and even if they DO work well they come off very quickly because the face get’s washed and scrubbed a lot. This new oil from St. Tropez says it gives a ten day tan, which I find hard to believe but I’m hoping it stays on longer than other face tanners. I’m also hoping that I might not mind applying it often if it’s in the form of a nice facial oil. Who knows it could be just like all the rest but it looks promising.
- Tom Ford Velvet Orchid - Sometimes when I go into Sephora I try on perfumes so that I can walk around in them and get a feel for how they REALLY smell on me as they wear throughout the day. I sprayed this one on me last week before I went to run other errands, and for HOURS every time the wind blew on me I was like “Errrrrr I smell So GOOOOD” I was getting excited for another gust of wind so it could blow some more of that glorious smell into my face. I’m not gong to try to describe the scent because I’m useless in that department but according to Sephora it has notes of Orange Blossom, Hyacinth, Jonquil, Cattleya Leopoldii Orchid, Suede Accord, Vanilla Tincture. I don’t even know what half of those things are, but I know they smell damn good.
- Anastasia Lip Gloss - I have some Anastasia lip gloss from the first time they released them. I don’t think they’re the same colors, formula or applicator (the old ones had a weird plastic paddle thing) but the quality on the old ones was amazing and the swatches of the new ones look pretty glorious. I have been really impressed with how they are expanding their line and I’m always excited to try their new releases. I think there are around 30 colors too. I’m not one to reach for a gloss that often, but a nice gloss in the Spring and Summer can be a refreshing change to matte lipsticks, which I wear all year round but every now and then I want something with a lighter juicier feel.
- Kat Von D Shade and Light EYE Palette - This isn’t released until April (I’ll link to it once it’s released) but I saw some promo shots and product shots that Kat posted on social media and I literally haven’t stopped thinking about it since then. My friend tagged me in one of the photos before I went to bed and I swear I had dreams of matte neutrals that night. I know some people are probably so sick of neutral eyeshadow sets but the idea that this has SO many contour and highlighting matte shades in it really excites me.
- Forever21 Distressed Tee - I’ve wanted one of these since last year, but I literally couldn’t bring myself to buy a 40 dollar short with holes in it and that was all I could find. Some were even more expensive, there are ones online for like over a hundred bucks. I just can’t. This forever 21 version is only 17.90 though and THAT I can wrap my head around. It’s online only so I’ll have to be patient and wait for it to arrive, but like I said before it’s not exactly T shirt weather yet anyway.
Those are my spring must haves at the moment. Is there anything you’re super excited for this spring? Let a girl know in the comments! 😉

[…] Sephora website I had a feeling it would be different. As a matter of fact I’m pretty sure I put it on a “Lust List” and said just that! The oil formula made sense, but I didn’t want to get my hopes up too […]
