Some of you may already know, because I’ve mentioned it about a thousand times, but the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils are my favorite. So when I heard they came out with new liners I knew I needed to try them. So I picked up the new All Nighter Eyeliner Pencil and the Perversion Cream Eyeliner and tested them out during the course of this last week. Long story short - My feelings on them are mixed. Let’s look at the photos and I’ll explain what I mean.
Urban Decay All Nighter Eyeliner In Perversion. Top and Bottom Lash Line
I tested the All Nighter Eyeliner Pencil first. Urban Decay’s website says “Draw ultra-shiny, intense lines with ease. (No sharpener required!) Our creamy formula twists up, glides on and flashes down to a long-lasting waterproof finish that won’t budge.” I applied it as I would normally apply any eyeliner, with a primer and a shadow across the lid. It applied nicely both straight from the pencil and with an angled brush. Off to a good start.
This picture was taken only one hour later. Within that one hour it not only managed to run in the corner of the eye but also somehow managed to transfer all the way to my under eye area, making it look as if I had some serious dark circles going on. All I did in that hour was take the dog out, in the dry cool weather, so there was really no reason for this whatsoever. Unimpressed. I should mention that I usually get several hours of wear out of my eyeliner before it starts running. I did have to go out in public for the rest of the day so I wiped the mess off with a Q-tip and went about my business.
All Nighter Four Hours After Applied
I checked again around 4 hours after I had initially applied it, and the eye that I had wiped up and fixed earlier was fine, but the other eye not so much. It was running under my eye and the top line had transferred onto the top lid. It had also begun to show little bits of pink skin on the waterline which made my eyes look tired and red. My initial intention was to keep this on until i went to bed but at this point I felt like I already knew everything I need to know about the wear time on this, so I just removed it. Certainly did not last all night, and as a matter of fact lasted far less time than the perversion 24/7 pencil.
In conclusion: It looks really nice when first applied, but this one definitely doesn’t work for me. That’s not to say it wont be good for some people, but I won’t be reaching for this again anytime soon . . .if ever.
Urban Decay Perversion Cream Eyeliner. Top Lash Line.
Next up was the Perversion Cream Liner. Urban Decay describes this one as “An all-in-one weapon for super-precise lines or smudged, smoky lines, our long-lasting, waterproof cream liner features triple-black pigments—for the purest, deepest, most intense black color imaginable.”
I only used this one on my top lash line, because I don’t ever really have good results using a cream liner on the waterline or the lower lash line (although their suggestions do intlude lining the entire eye). It applied really nicely with an angled brush, was dark and dried to a matte finish. My initial impression was pretty good.
Alright, a much better result after one hour than the All Nighter pencil! Still looking good, no touchups needed.
Four Hours, and still hasn’t moved. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about Urban Decay! Not a single smidgen of it had budged.
Perversion Cream Liner After Seven Hours
After Seven hours it was still pretty much 100% intact except that it had transferred a tiny bit onto my right lid. I guess my right eye must have a slightly droopier lid than my left because it’s the only one that ever gets transfer. Awesome (lol)
My Conclusion - This lasts WAY longer than most of my other cream/gel eyeliners and is a pleasure to apply. It won’t replace my go to Stila stay all day liquid, but it will definitely replace any other gel liners that I bring into the rotation from time to time.
So Thats my Urban Decay Perversion Cream Liner and All Nighter Eyeliner Review. One miss and one hit.
I haven’t tried their Precision ink pen, or the 24/7 velvet yet, but I am deifinitely going to try to when I get the chance!

Have you tried smudging the cream eyeliner at all? How did it look, was it easy and gentle? And how long did it last?
Just some questions I’d you happen to have answers… 🙂
*if* you happen to have answers
Face palm.
Funny you ask because I tired smudging it yesterday! It’s actually pretty great for smudging because it’s so pigmented and creamy. It smudged very easily, so you don’t have to tug or anything which is great, but you have to work quickly before it sets. I didn’t keep track of exactly how long it lasted that way, but it stayed on until I took it off for the most part. I only had to clean up around the outer half of the bottom lash line a little after a few hours, but I also wore a black pencil on my waterline so it’s hard to say which one was the culprit lol 😀
