I tried to come up with a clever name for this like “venti nonfat no foam macchiato with one pump and extra caramel” lip scrub, but everything sounded really silly so DIY Coffee Lip Scrub it is! Seriously though, if you like a tasty lip scrub, this tastes the way coffee tastes in your dreams. You know when you smell that amazing coffee smell but it never quite tastes like that? Or like the way it tastes in coffee ice cream. Oh my god, how good is coffee ice cream? So good.

It also feels quite plumping and leaves the lips baby smooth. So we have taste and function. Did I mention its super easy and made with things you most likely actually have in your kitchen? We bring the heat here at msquinnface…and by heat I mean dope lip scrubs.

Ok here is the recipe, you ready?

• Equal parts honey, melted coconut oil (you can sub olive if you need to), coffee grounds and sugar.
• Mix wet and dry ingredients.

• It looks a lot like a blob of brownie batter. That’s ok don’t let that make you think you screwed up. Just scoop out a pea sized amount of the blob.
• Last Step: Scrub a dub dub, baybeh!

This makes more than enough for several applications so if you put it in a resealable container it will keep just fine in the fridge for a week or so, just be aware that the coconut oil will solidify so take it out for a bit and let it come back to room temperature before you want to use it.

Seriously I can’t stress how soft my lips feel after I used this and how mother effing good it tastes and smells. I want to eat it. I guess I could if I want to, I mean I’m already licking it off my lips…I’m gonna give it a nibble next time. It’s skincare and dessert in one.
