Ah nude lipstick, such an elusive beast. It’s so hard to find a nude that suits your skin tone. Except if you choose a nude pink, because basically that sh*t looks good on everybody. I mean obviously in some cases you are going to prefer some over others depending on how deep or pale your skin is, but for the most part they’re universally super flattering. If you are smart enough to choose a nude pink liquid lipstick then it’s going to be flattering and also stay on all damn day. Ever wonder why everyone and their mother is clawing each others eyes out for the latest nude pink liquid lipstick? I just solved the mystery right there for you.
The problem is that there are so damn many on the market these days it’s hard to know which ones to go for. Unless you’re a sicko like me and you compulsively buy all of them as if it’s some holy grail that’s going to change your life (Can’t stop, won’t stop) then you’re probably going to have to narrow it down and make an educated purchase. At least I have a bunch to try out so I can tell you which ones I think are the most worth buying out of the infinite possibilities out there! See? It’s not hoarding it’s research.
So after my extensive research I have chose then top three nude pink liquid lipsticks that you will end up reaching for over and over again.
- Dose of Colors STONE // The dose of colors liquid lipstick formula is awesome. It’s a bit thinner than most but it covers very evenly and you hardly know that you have anything on your lips once it’s applied. It also smells like coco krispies, so that’s nice. This color in particular is on the pale side, and also on the cool side but it is very falttering and doesn’t wash me out even with my pale skin and I have seen photos of it looking bomb on people with everything from medium to very deep skin tones. It’s a total keeper.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills DUSTY ROSE // The ABH Liquid lipstick formula is my second favorite after Stila, so that means the wear time, application and finish are all top notch. This color though…it goes with everything. It’s that lipstick that you can put on when you don’t know what to pair with a look and just know that it’s going to work. I find myself reaching for it on really casual days all the time. I also reach for it when I’m going for a really glam look where I want the eyes to stand out but I still need to keep those lips carved out and pouty because you know that’s just how I do. In other words I wear it all the time and whenever I see it on anyone else I’m like “ooo what’s her lip color? Oh dusty rose, ok duh.”
- Kat Von D LOLITA // To be honest the Kat von D Liquid Lipstick formula is not my favorite, it’s one of those formulas where I only love it for the nude shades and when it comes to the darker shade I freakin’ hate it. The darker shades are super patchy. Lolita is awesome though. I guess lighter shades are just more forgiving maybe. That being said, this one is a cult favorite for a reason. It literally looks good on everyone. Everyone. It also has a magic power where it contours your lips automatically and makes them look fuller. How you do that Lolita, how?
So if you have been trying to narrow down your nude pink liquid lipstick options, maybe start with these. I think they’re pretty solid options to have in the rotation. All the formulas (specifically just Lolita in the KVD case) are solid and it also gives you a pale, medium and darker shade to choose from depending on what you’re looking for. Do you have any nude pink liquid lipstick that you think are a must have? Let me know…ya know for research purposes ?
