What up suckas?! It’s been quite a week. Let’s recap and chat a bit before we get to makeup photos. If you don’t give a sh*t what I’ve done ever in my life then feel free to skip ahead.

First of all I went to a house warming party and played Cards Against Humanity for the first time. I know I’m totally late on that one, but look… now that I’ve played I think that game was made for me. Like for me specifically, because theres nothing I enjoy more than an excuse to say depraved things without being judged. How did they know?

I also had my mom and sister here for a few days, which was fun as usual. We did all the typical stuff like going to dinner, sitting around and talking about nonsense for hours, and then we topped it off with a fun trip to an ice castle. Which is like a building made of icicles up in the mountains region. I’m not gonna lie , that was more fun than I expected but I guess it was mostly fun because my sister did an interpretive dance to the epic music they were playing. You will have seen that if you follow me on snapchat, and if you don’t then you probably should because you’re missing out on public dance numbers. Duh.

We then got some food and had to drive an hour and a half home in a snow storm. My mom fell asleep (she sleeps through EVERYTHING in the car it’s insane, I also snapped some of that because it was funny, whoops) and my sister and I distracted ourselves from our fear of ending up dead in a snow drift by rapping late 90s hip hop songs to my husband in their entirety while he drove through the snowstorm without even flinching like a champ.

Anyway, on to the makeup photos, all of which came from before my mom and sister got here because I feel weird taking a bunch of studio photos of my own head while people walk around my house so I plan accordingly. It just feels weird to me to do that.

In the first look I used Chocolate Wasted Liquid Lipstick from Dose of Colors and I have to say that it’s the brown liquid lipstick I’ve been dreaming of. I was temped to try to get the True Brown Kylie Lip Kit because I’ve been aching in my soul for a dark chocolate matte brown, but I’m glad I went with this because I heard those are a wee bit dry, and the Dose of Colors formula is just lovely. I also tried the DoC Eyedeal Duos for the first time and I was impressed with those too. I hear a lot of people hating on these new internet makeup companies but I have yet to stumble on one that’s not selling at least a few really good products, so I don’t get it. Dose is killin it, in my opinion.

Next up we’ve got another Look with the Dose of Colors Eyedeal Duos. When I was younger I feel like everyone acted like wearing blue eyeshadow was a cardinal sin of makeup. First of all there are no rules and makeup, but I think everyone was still scarred from the 80s at that point so I’ll let it slide. Second of all, blues like this are a great example of how a full on blue lid can totally work. Throw some neutrals in the crease and you’re good to go, man!

The last look of the day revolves around the lashes. I finally caved and got some of the Faux Mink ones from HudaBeauty in the style Farah. They cost a bit less at Sephora and the shipping is free so now that they’re available there I wasn’t quite as appalled at the price. So far I’ve only worn them twice so I can’t say how well they hold up, but they are extremely comfortable to wear, especially considering how long they are. When I say long I mean long too, they are full on eyebrow grazers. Yet light as a feather. Amazing.
