Wow guys! Volume 26 of this series? I’m not exactly a math wiz but I’m pretty sure that if I do one of these on average every 2 weeks, and we’re at volume 26 then I’ve been doing this for about a year now. I said I was going to stick with it and I did. That feels pretty damn good I’m not gonna lie. I also feel like it really did push me in the way I wanted it too. I got more adventurous with my own makeup, trying trendy makeup, got more creative, got a new camera that I love, improved my lighting setup, and even started posting makeup looks on Instagram several times a week.

That just goes to show, one small positive change can snowball into more. I’m not the type to spew positive quotes and stuff (most of the time I prefer really inappropriate quotes from raunchy comedies TBH) but write that one down, it’s one to live by.

Speaking of movies, I wore this when I went to see The Hateful 8. Oooooo it was good. Everyone was complaining that it was so gory and stuff, but it’s a Tarantino movie so like…yeah duh. We’re you expecting a romcom? I don’t get it.

Anyways, I really enjoyed it. I also forgot to bring my snacks from home…yeah I’m that chick. Whatever, popcorn hurts my tummy. But I left pretty hangry because it’s a long ass movie…but my lipstick also stayed on perfectly so that’s a win!

I also wore House of Lashes Smokey Muse lashes, and they are SO comfortable to wear. I was really impressed with them I think they’re a new favorite.

Next look…This was the one that I did live on periscope! That was super fun. I kept it really simple because I didn’t want the broadcast to be three years long, and also I was kinda getting the hang of making sure I was in frame while I did it and stuff, but then it turns out that it was one of the most liked looks of the week…maybe you guys are super boring of something, who knows (that’s just a joke, I kid because I love)

I mentioned this tip on Instagram, but I’ll repeat it here too. If you have a liquid lipstick that has some metallic or glitter finish to it, you can intensify the shiny texture by lightly buffing it with your finger when it’s dry or almost dry. It removes just enough of the color to reveal some of the pigment that settled under the surface.

Another tip I posted about on Instagram: if you want to place your shadow in a really specific, concentrated area, like I did with the outer portion of the crease here, don’t be afraid to apply it with something like a small eyeliner brush and then blend it out with a fluffy brush later.
