I’ve been planning my beauty gifts under 25 dollars list since last week, and in that time a whole bunch of the things that I chose are gone. Just poof, gone forever into the limited edition holiday ether. Luckily though, there are usually several versions of the same type of thing that are available, and these gift guides aren’t really for you to buy exact items anyway, more for ideas and guidance, ya know?
Also luckily the things that are still available are really fun, so nobody is really missing out.
I wanted to take a moment here to tell you guys my philosophy when buying beauty gifts under 25 dollars, under ten dollars or even super luxury items. The principal is the same:
Never buy someone a beauty gift that’s utilitarian. Don’t know what I mean by that? Nobody wants a three pack of deodorant even if it is from Lavanila and it’s super cute. Never buy anything that implies they have wrinkles or acne, even if it’s in a gift set. Try to keep it fun…
That being said, if someone you know would love an acne fighting skincare gift set then go for it, I’m just saying to be careful and put some thought into it. Maybe their idea of fun is not having pimples, you know your friends and family better than me, but it could also make them feel bad and that sorta defeats the purpose.
Just my musings on the ins and outs of buying beauty gifts.
So if you’re still on the hunt for presents and you need some beauty gifts under 25 bucks for your co-worker or to flesh our some presents for your momma, or a cousin or whoever might need a gift in this price range and loves them some beauty products, then here are some ideas that I think are a really solid bet.
MAKEUP
There are a few gift sets floating around with mini versions of these lipsticks for under 25, but none of them seem to still be available online. They may still be in stores though, so if you have an ulta near you and you want to get a gift set, check that out. If not, then I say pick a color you think would look gorg on your giftee and get them a regular full size one. They are the best, no joke.
Lorac’s pro eyeshadow formula is one of my favorites, and these little pocket pro sets are so perfect for gifting! They would be great to travel with, or to keep in your purse to bump up your look if you’re going out after work. They come in a warmer color scheme and one that’s more mauve too so you can pick which is best for the person you’re buying it for.
Too Faced Melted Lipsticks are a really nice long wearing formula, but they are not the super matte type of liquid lipstick that dries down. They are beautiful though, and they have a creamy satin finish, and the set has both metallic and creme finish shades so whoever is lucky enough to get it will get to play around with different finishes.
NAILS
All three of these brands have gift sets that have been coming in and out of availability. I linked the one from each brand that’s currently available but basically if you have a nail lover on your gift list and you know what type of colors they dig then I would say a set from any of these brands is a good bet. Nail lovers love to hoard, you won’t disappoint…That’s not me being judgey that’s me speaking as a nail polish hoarder.
BATH & SKINCARE
Not every beauty lover is a makeup and nail polish freak, some folks appreciate a nice skincare or bath gift. The Rosebud Salve set is a classic, cult favorite in extra cute packaging. Farmacy Lip bloom is new to me but I will tell you something right now, if someone gave me apple rosemary lip balm I would love them extra and share my snacks with them. No lie.
This particular bath soak looks really chic, so it will look great in the bathroom. It also sounds like it smells really comforting. But essentially any type of super pampering bath item is a nice thing to gift. Most people don’y often do things like that for themselves so it’s not only a nice gift to get, but it sways that you care and want them to have time to relax. I’m not even being sarcastic (I know it’s hard to tell sometimes because I never stop) I really think it’s a thoughtful gift.
We still have a stocking stuffer gift guide coming down the pipe soon, most likely by tomorrow. I’m trying to make sure I get these up in a timely fashion so they’re still useful to you guys.
In the meantime if you need some luxury beauty gift ideas I posted some HERE
