Wow I can’t believe I’ve done twenty of these posts already. But at the same time I can’t believe its only 20, that means it’s been less than a year…and this has been one hell of a year so it feels really long. I feel like I’ve aged an entire decade since last November, in a good way though, not like an “I need a walker now” kinda way. Although I did recently injure my hip…damnit I am old.
I’ve really had a chance to get out and enjoy the fall weather and the beautiful changing leaves this last week and a half or so, which is awesome because this is really the best time of year in the northeast. Gotta enjoy the good weather while its here. It sure as hell doesn’t last long.
I got to take my pup and my friends’ pup and a nice walk around the lake, and then we came home and I rented Homeward Bound on iTunes. I was dog-sitting my friends pittie for the night so I felt like a dog movie was appropriate but yo….that move hit me square in the feels. I remembered it being kinda sad when I was a kid but holy mama. I cried a minimum of four times if you don’t count the times where I just teared up a bit and was able to hold it back. Like damn, if that movie is to be believed then dogs are SO melodramatic.
My husband and I also took a drive up to the White Mountain National Forest on Tuesday. We brought the dog in spite of my fear of him getting lost in the mountains because of Homeward Bound. That sh*t will stick with you. He was fine though, he didn’t have to fight any mountain lions with a catapult made of rocks or anything, so we cool. He seemed to really enjoy it actually. How the hell do dogs know the difference between nature and like…not nature? He legit looked thrilled to be there. Either way he was happy as a little clam. Also, why are clams happy? I have so many questions about life!
Wow, Nicole how about shutting up and talking about this week’s makeup looks before you make a fool of yourself. Too late you say? You’re probably right.
Buttttt if you happen to decide you want to follow me along with these weird anecdotes before I ramble about them then follow me on SnapChat. I don’t always snap, but when I do I go HAM
Ok, Ok! On to the makeup looks…
Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation | Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Fair | Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in So Hollywood | Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey | Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow in Dark Brown | Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Palette | Kat Von D Tattoo Liner In Trooper | NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Stone Fox |
This look was super simple, but comes off real edgy because of the lip color. You guys seem to respond really well when I post edgier looks though, so thats awesome. I see you all out there being cool AF. You’re like yasssss Nicole, wear those weird lipsticks! Werk! Or at least that’s what I imagine you saying when you “like” my photo on Instagram. Every time you double tap I hear YASSSSS.

For as long as I can remember I have loved wearing red lipstick with camo. It makes me feel like Gwen Stefani or something. I feel like she would do that, and she’s the ultimate coolest so if she would do it, I’m in.
Side note…this sweater is from the men’s section a target and I got it for 7.99 on sale, and the funnel neck sweatshirt in the first photo, which I literally will not stop wearing, is also from Target. It’s bad enough that their home decor is f*cking everything lately with Nate Berkus literally reading my mind and making the things I want to fill my house with…now their clothes are good too? So basically I’m gonna go broke every time I need to run in for toothpaste? Fantastic. Who am I kidding though I love it.

Man I’m ODing on green this week huh? I recently pulled out my Sleek makeup palettes, which I kinda forgot about for a while, but damn they’re good! And theyre so inexpensive. They aren’t always the easiest to find in the US but they are on Amazon and the sellers don’t even try to price gauge you so if you are looking for some dope ass palettes on the cheap you should look at those. They are better than MAC shadows, and you get a whole palette for under 15 bucks soooooo yeah. That’s a huge honkin’ win.
So those are the makeup looks and weird life anecdotes that made the cut this week. I hope you are all having a good old time in your lives this week too…and every week for that matter. Hug a dog, look at nature, slay a weird lip color, and I will see you all next week!
