It’s time for FridayFaces, you guys and it’s also time to chat a little about life. Do you ever second guess the living shit out of yourself? Like I have days where I second guess and doubt myself and everything I’ve ever done since birth. What the hell is that about? Most days I feel like I’m on a good path and then once in a while my brain is like “Haahaa NO you suck and you ruined everything” I guess it’s all part of being a creative person, self doubt usually leads to creative growth…and it could also be heavily tied to PMS. Not sure which one factors in more.
The reason I bring this up is because the day I wore the first of these makeup looks I absolutely hated everything about how it came out and how the hair looked and I felt all types of ways about myself the first half of the day. But now looking back at the photos I actually like it and chose is as one of my favorite makeup looks of the week to feature in this post, so it just goes to show that sometimes in the moment when you get down on yourself you just have to let it pass and you’ll feel better.
I will say though that the Bellami extensions that I wore are not worth the money. They aren’t really thick enough to blend with my real hair (in fairness my hair is stupid thick but they also brag about how thick and luscious their extensions are soooo) and I felt like the ends were very dry and scraggly and did not heat style easily. They aren’t the worst but they certainly aren’t worth the price. The color is pretty poppin though.

I wore this look to go get pumpkins for the front steps with Matt, and the place we went to had a beautiful view with a place to watch hawk migrations. Not gonna lie I didn’t even know they migrated, but it was pretty damn cool. Then on the way home I got a phone call that my new car was ready for me to pick it up, so even though I felt like a toad it turned out to be a really great day.

I’ve been really into using tape to create a sharp, but diffused wing with eyeshadow lately. I’m going to make a post later in the week about the tape I use, but if you find yourself wondering how to get the kinda of look that has a sharp shape but only uses eyeshadow, then tape is the answer.

This was the first time I’ve used a MAC eyeshadow in a really long time, and I have to say, since back in the day when I first started doing makeup they have been heavily outclassed as far as formulation is concerned. I used to think their shadows were the tits, but honestly they are really dry and not that pigmented compared to a lot of the formulas that are out now. I used to have almost all mac shadows in my kit, and now I can’t believe I liked them that much. How time changes things, huh?
Some of their colors are still gorg though, so I don’t mind working a little harder and make them look good. Cranberry is a great shade, so I applied a few layers with fix plus to make sure I got a good amount of color saturation.
I wore this on a long long car ride to Upstate New York to spend a weekend with all of my in-laws. We found a really awesome fall festival called Taste of the Catskills, got some locally brewed ciders, some game of thrones beer and ate Jamaican Jerk Ducks Wings (!!!) and I also learned that I am goddamn terrible at badminton. Like imagine an un-athletic eight year old with a blindfold on trying to play, and then imagine how it could be worse than that. That’s how bad I am.
Before I sum this up, I think the new way that I’m going to start choosing the top makeup looks that I posted on Instagram for the week, so you guys can get a look at the most liked ones and find out more products details and what I thought of the products etc. etc. That makes sense right? Let me know whatchu think!
