Last year around this time I did a video tutorial on how to get an easy beach waves look, I mean it seems pretty appropriate because nobody wants to spend a ton of time on really sculpted hair when it’s hot. Especially since hot usually means humid and humid means your perfect sculpted hair doesn’t last anyway. You shmell me? Here is the video is you haven’t watched it yet…
So I’ve been going back to this way of doing my hair quite a bit, and I figured I would give you guys an update on the products I use to do it.
I do everything exactly the same as in the video, except I use the Bumble&Bumble Surf Infusion Spray rather than the original. I like that it adds a bit of shine along with the texture and leaves my hair feeling a little less crunchy, and instead of actual hairspray I use the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. It adds a little more volume and manages to keep more movement in the hair as well.
Another small change is that my hair is about 8 inches shorter than it was last year, so instead of five mines now it takes around three. Wininnnggggg!
This is how it looked when I did the updated version of it the other day on my shorter hair.
I figured an updated version of that technique might be handy for some of you this time of year….or just throw it in a top knot and call it a day. Both ways work 😉
