I said it before and I’ll say it again, the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler is the sh*t! But I have one major gripe…getting Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler refills is a pain in the rump. They don’t sell refill pads on their site or on amazon or anything like that, and I’ll be damned it I pay 20 bucks for a new curler every time I need new pads. I have been buying the Sheseido Pads for a while, and they fit but they are only available online as well and I can’t always find them (they must sell out because everyone uses them for their Shu curler!)
Recently I forgot to bring my eyelash curler while I was on a trip and I picked up a Tweezerman curler at target. First I have to say that the Tweezerman curler is actually really good…but not as good as the Shu one. Second thing is it came with three extra refill pads, and on a whim I tried using the spare pads in my Shu curler. Low and behold, they fit! Yasssssss they fit!
It took a little coaxing with my fingernail to get it to sit perfectly, but once it was in it performed perfectly. So it’s official, you can totally use the Tweezerman pads as a Shu Uemura eyelash curler refill! Did I mention you get 4 in a refill pack unlike the two you get in the Sheseido pack for the same price? Yaaaay! Oh and peep the way the pads match my nails. Didn’t even plan it, it was just meant to be 😉
Hope that helps if you love your Shu eyelash curlers but have a hard time finding refills. I’m so excited that I can just grab a four pack on amazon or at target or something.
