Look at me, over here coming up with new features and actually keeping up with them.
That’s me high fiving myself, internet style.
I’m super into Gifs lately. I even have an app on my phone where I make my own and send them to friends. It has seriously upped my “making people laugh at my texts” game. I made this one of my friend’s brother and it literally brings joy to my entire life.
Look at that happy little bastard go!
Your friends will either love you or think you’re super annoying. I can not take responsibility for the results of it’s use.
So the last few weeks have been a little boring makeup-wise. Mostly because it will not stop snowing so it’s hard to want to go outside and face the world, but also when I DO go out the snow pelts me in the face and wets my makeup and ruins my life anyway. So whats the point?
But I did pull it together a few times and manage to get photos of my makeup looks, so let me shut up about all this other stuff and get to the point.
Smashbox CC Cream In Light/Neutral | Tarte Cheek Stain in Loving | Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla| Anastasia Contour Kit | Lorac Pro Palette | Sephora Mirror Eyeshadow Hollywood Calling | Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner Black | Rimmel Scandaleyes Pencil in Brown | Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara | Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown and Auburn | Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips
This evening was spent eating Japanese food and watching Game Of Thrones in IMAX. It was SO awesome. I love sci-fi and fantasy stuff to begin with, but I go hard for GoT. I’m up to date on all the fan theories and stuff. . .have you guys read the whole “who’s Jon Snow’s mother” theory? It’ s so nuts. I hope it’s true. Google that sh*t.
The makeup is pretty typical of my go-to type of look. Smokey neutrals, winged liner, simple lip. I paired it with comfy clothes so I could be cozy at the movies and messy waves in my hair because lord knows its getting ruined in the damn snow anyway.
The bronze Sephora Collection Mirror Shadow that I used is SO good by the way. If you’ve never checked out the Sephora brand eyeshadows, you should. I think their house brand is really under appreciated.
The lips had to be just a balm that I could reapply with no mirror cuz you know I was going to get my snack on at the movies. I wanted to be healthy though so I brought a chocolate flavored Rx Bar and a baggie of roasted plantain chips in my purse. I’m like a little old lady I swear to god.
Smashbox CC Cream | Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer | Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette “Spirit” |Kat Von D Tattoo Liner | Diorshow Waterproof Mascara | Anastasia Dip Brow | NYX Wonder Pencil Light | Urban Decay “Naked” lip Pencil | Lime Crime Velvetine “Cashmere” (Dupe available HERE)
These product lists are getting super boring because I keep using the same things over and over again. At least you know I’m not bullsh*tting you when I say that I really like something, right? So this soft-ish daytime smokey lash line look happened on. . .Monday? Yeah, Monday.
Monday it was snowing yet again, but we had to get groceries because we had like one sad, old, lonely banana and a bottle of hot sauce left in the house. Not even Pinterest has a recipe for that. So we drove to Trader Joe’s only to find out they closed early because of the snow. My soul shriveled up and died and I wept a little inside, but I liked my makeup and the store we wound up at had Coco Cafe so life goes on.
I’ve been going for a softer, less defined brow a lot of days lately. I’m not sure why, but it’s becoming a thing. That and these matte nude lips have been my go to look . . .who am I?
Smashbox CC Cream | Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer | Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal | Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed | Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette “Spirit” |Kat Von D Tattoo Liner | Diorshow Waterproof Mascara | Anastasia Dip Brow | NYX Wonder Pencil Light | Urban Decay “Naked” lip Pencil | Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
I swear on my life and all that I hold dear that that is snow on my coat and not gigantic dandruff. I schweeeeeear!
This look was fun! It was like a faded, sketchy version of winged eyeliner and I really like how it came out. Also, this sweater makes me feel like a fashionable Sith Lord, so that’s always fun too. If you take a look at the product list, its almost identical to the look above it. It’s crazy how you can make such different looks with the same stuff.
The Kat Von D Tattoo liner is really great for playing around with different eyeliner shapes. It’s a lot like a calligraphy pen so it can make really tiny lines or fill in a nice, thick, dark space. If you’re looking for something to have a little more fun with your liner then I highly recommend it. Why can’t I ever spell the word recommend on the first try? What a dum dum pop.
Fun eyeliner must be good luck because I wore this to a house viewing and we actually liked the house. Seriously, this is probably the 15th one we’ve walked through, so that’s a miracle. Keep your fingers crossed for us that it works out! When we do finally find a place I’m going to start a secret side project too so that’s going to be exciting…ooohhh suspense! I hope you don’t die of anticipation *sarcasmsarcasm*
The lips are nude again, but not completely matte. I filled the whole lip in with a nude pencil and then dabbed the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in the center. It stayed on really well for a semi glossy look, so I was very pleased with it.
Those are all the interesting makeup looks that happened on my face recently, and all the life nonsense that goes went with them. There were other makeup looks that happened in this time span but either they were really boring or got ruined by the weather before I could get good photos. When spring comes I’m going to run naked though the streets with joy probably have more fun things to do, and more fun makeups to choose from. If not then I’m probably in jail because of the whole naked in the streets thing. Only time will tell
