Have you guys tried nail art pens yet? I finally just got some for the first time and I got really excited so I started playing around with them. I came up with some fun stuff, so I decided to make a blog post out of it. Inspiration and what have you. They aren’t the best nail designs in the world, but they’re mine and I like them . . .ok I guess they’re pretty cool I dunno, it’s been a weird day.

Here they are all up close and personal. Fun right? The colors I got were black, white and mint. In case you couldn’t devise that from the photos. I purchased the Models Own Nail art pens from urban outfitters, but if you don’t want to spend that much money (in case you hate them or something) theres also a cheaper set available from amazon, although I haven’t tried them so I cant vouch for their quality or anything.

The colors I used for the bases were from top to bottom:

I really like the mixed textures on the last one, I think that will be my next manicure, but I’m going to practice getting the black lines neater when putting it over the satin finish first.

But of course since I just got these I wanted to do my own actual nails, you know the ones attached to my fingers, but I have been wearing dark and/or colorful polishes a lot and wanted something more neutral, so I came up with this . . .

It’s the same idea as the mint and black one above but the neutral color makes it a bit more demure. Still fun I think. It kind of reminds me of this shower curtain, which I totally want but also kind of don’t want to spend fifty bucks on. Oh life, you wicked beast.
