So we’re here to talk about this lip look, but while we’re on the topic of the holidays, can I get something off my chest?? WTF is the “Elf on the Shelf?” I have seen him everywhere the last few years, and I’m not gonna lie, he creeps me the eff out. Like. . . do people think he’s cute? He looks like he comes alive at night and does unsavory things. No offense to the people who like him, but I just don’t get it. Am I missing something?

Ok, now that I’ve vented about that - glossy lips that stay on through a whole party. Yes it’s possible! and here’s how I do it.

All you have to do is use one layer of Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery, and wait for it to completely dry. I know it seems like I’m sponsored by Stila or something, but I’m not. For god’s sake I wish LOL. The stay all day products are really just great stuff. The Lipstick, eyeliner and BB creams are all top notch.

Once the Liquid Lipstick is completely set, you can layer over it with YSL Glossy Stain #10 to get a glossy, deep, jelly-like red lip that seriously won’t come off. I mean it will eventually but it hangs on there pretty damn tight.

Above is how it looked after I ate lunch and drank 2 big cups of coffee. Pretty damn impressive! You can also do this with any color combination of these products OR you can replace the YSL Glossy Stain with a L’oreal Shine Caresse because they’re pretty much the same thing. I don’t know of any less expensive liquid lispticks that stay on as well as the Stila ones, so I can’t suggest a replacement for that.

So excuse the weird lighting and crappy angle of this, but I was in Chipotle, and when I finished my salad this is how my lips still looked. I thought that needed to be documented. I wouldn’t even bother to touch it up, after a SALAD. In case you are wondering, salad is the number one predator of lipstick in the wild. #Facts. And everyone in Chipotle thought I was an absolute nut job taking close up photos of my lips in the ill lit corner, but it had to be done. Dedication, I has it.

So try this out for one of your Holiday Parties and let me know how it works out. Probably people are going to ask you all night how it’s staying on and it’d gonna get really annoying, but hey! Conversation start amiright?
