I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this on here before, but I like to do this thing where I plan how things will look by roughly photoshopping them together. Like I planned all the furniture in my apartment by photoshopping it into an imaginary room with the same walls and floors as it has.
See? They look really dumb and I’m probably a crazy person, but it helped me visualize it all together. Sometimes I do the same thing to help me plan out my hair and makeup and how it will pair with an outfit. I guess i could just try stuff on, but : I like to plan ahead and 2: It helps me look at the combinations objectively without thinking about whatever stupid flaw I see in the mirror that day. And I’m not gonna lie, it makes me feel a little like Cher Horowitz. You know you wanted her closet organizer too!
So I threw together a combination of stuff I want to wear on christmas eve, and I figured I would share! I needed to plan ahead for sure because I am traveling home and I want to make sure I knew exactly what to bring, and I also want to be very comfortable because it will most likely be a pretty long day.
- Lipstick: I’m going with my Long Wearing Matte Ombre look that I posted about recently. I want to feel festive but low maintenance.
- Hair: I plan on doing some soft waves, but It’s supposed to snow there, so I will probably pop on my trusty chunky beanie. I got it at an outlet store but you can find similar ones online pretty easily
- Sweater: Comfy is key here. I ordered this one from H&M during their sale last week and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it gets here in time. I have backups if it doesn’t, but I like the idea of the contrasting casual pattern with the leggings I’m planning to wear. Speaking of those . . .
- Leggings: Ok seriously, how perfectly festive are those? I got them from DailyLook, and it was my first time ever ordering from them so I was skeptical. But they are really cute and SO comfy so I was very pleased.
- Booties: I’m going for my Tom’s Desert Wedges. I don’t own any other pairs of Tom’s but I have lived in these wedges for the last year. They blend with everything and they are super comfy.
So that’s the plan, and I’m sticking to it . . .hopefully. C’monnnn H&M get that sweater in my mailbox!!
