When the transition from summer to fall starts to happen I get the itch to shop. It just seems like the right time to get awesome new makeup, cozy new clothes and ALL THE BOOTS. Like right now I have literally six big giant warm sweater in my urban outfitters “shopping cart” but I haven’t ordered them yet because my wallet didn’t get the memo about fall being shopping time.
And they keep sending me emails that say “Hey did you forget something? You have items in your cart” and I’m like No . . . No I did not forget.
But it’s not all about clothes, there are some super sexy beauty items on my radar.
1. I am currently having a love affair with tokyomilk. I got their perfume in the scent “french kiss” as well as their lip elixir in the salted caramel flavor, and I’m obsessed with both. They smell SO good and the packaging is right up my street.
The one I’m lusting after is the scent “Dead Sexy” which is described as “deep vanilla, exotic wood, white orchid, and ebony as well as spice” …um, yum! Not to mention the Bad ass skull bottle. Oh baby.
2. Nars Velvet Lip Pencil in “Train Bleu”. This one has been on my list for a few fall seasons in a row now, but I keep backing out of buying it because I feel like I might only wear it on nights out. As some of you may have figured out by now I’m kind of a hermit, so that doesn’t really justify buying it.
But if you want a deep purple, almost blackish, blue based matte lip Train Bleu is what you’ve been looking for. Maybe you have more places the wear it than I do…hopefully.
3. If you live near a Sephora or a makeup counter the sells Hourglass, please go and swatch the Ambient lighting powders. I’ll admit that everyone was hyping over them and I was a non believer. I was like how can a powder be THAT good?
That is until I went into Sephora and swatched them on the back of my hand and literally watched the fine lines on my wrist area disappear. I swear my jaw dropped. The problem is that I want two of them because both colors are amazing and I want to use them on different areas of the skin for a glowing highlight effect, and these babies ain’t cheap.
So I’m waiting until I have on of those days where I say screw it! “Treat yo self!” and then I’m gonna buy both and I’m gonna glow like an angel you guys, you just wait and see.
4. The new Stila Magnificent Metals eyeshadows look dope and I want them. End of story.
Actually, they look really pretty on every swatch I’ve seen and supposedly they don’t crease. I want the shades Kitten and Vintage Black Gold. Now that’s the end of the story.
5. CND the company responsible for Shellac Manicures has come out with Vinylux, which is a gel polish you apply like a regular manicure. It cures in the natural light of the room, and they claim it lasts for a week. I don’t know if it does, but their colors look awesome and I can’t wait to find out!
6. Ok this one isn’t actually a beauty item but it seems like beauty bloggers all have a soft spot for candles and scents in general, so I’m lumping it in. When I was a teen I was obsessed with Nag Champa incense. I still love them smell but burning incense is such a pain in the butt I never do it.
I don’t know how I came across these (likely I was in one of my Amazon.com tunnels where I start out looking for hairspray and end up buying a vegetable spiralizer.) But they make it in a candle form now! Same scent, and same packaging design too!
The only thing holding me back is that they only come in packs of six and I’m worried that if it’s disappointing I’m gonna have five sad candles in my bathroom cabinet.
