Hey Everyone! I realized that I haven’t done a pictorial for you all in a while, so here we go! This is my go-to look when I need to look really made up for a night out or something, but I need to get it done quickly. It’s only 6 really simple steps and you’ll be good to go, and it’s still really eye catching, and will make those peepers pop!
Step 1
Step 1. Start with a clean and primed lid. Use a “Pressed pigment” formula eyeshadow over the whole lid in a bronze-y taupe-y color.
(SIDE NOTE: If you are not familiar with these types of shadows, they are extremely pigmented, semi loose pigments that are pressed into a pot and deliver a ton of color, and the shimmery shades deliver a ton of shimmer. They are best applied by packing them on with a stiff brush and then blending them later. For examples of this formula you can check out the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows or The Chanel Illusion D’ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadows. A great budget friendly alternative (and what I used in this tutorial) are the L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadows. All three deliver the look of a high shimmer cream shadow but with insanely long wear time. )
If you are unsure of what shape to pack the color on, just try following the shape of the bottom of your eyebrow, and don’t forget to drag what is left on the brush onto the outer 1/2 of your lower lash line for added, soft definition.
Step 2
Step 2. With a clean buffing brush, blend out the edges of the shadow until there is no visible line between your bare skin and the shadow.
Step 3
Step 3. On a small eyeshadow brush, take a shimmery champagne colored shadow and dab it on the inner corner of your lid and on the tear duct area. This will add dimension to the whole look and really wake up your eyes.
Step 4
Step 4. Draw on some winged liner! Use whatever formula is easiest for you to work with, as long as it is nice and black. To make this look dramatic make sure that you extend the tail of the liner to where the bronze/ taupe shadow ends which is probably just past the crease, don’t be afraid to go a little biger than usual with the wing, it is what takes this look from blah to glam! Also, bring the black under the outer 1/3 of your lash line. This really makes it more glam and dramatic by lifting your eyes and making them seem much larger.
Step 5
Step 5. Line your bottom waterline with a metallic, gold eyeliner pencil, preferably one that is waterproof, so that it stays well on the waterline all day or night. This is really what makes the look “special” The little glint of the metallic gold is subtle but eye-catching, which really grabs peoples attention…in a good way!
Step 6
Step 6. Curl your lashes, and apply plenty of black mascara. No glam look is complete without some big fluttery lashes! You can add false lashes to this look if you like and it would be super hot, but if you are going for a quick glam look you probably don’t have time to fiddle with falsies!
And thats it, done-zo!
You are ready to roll in no time flat! Hope this comes in handy for you, and if you want to recreate the look I will link you to all the products I used below. (But remember, you can always get a similar look with other products as long as they are pretty similar)
