It’s Day 7 of my holiday looks! (Insert triumphant horn sound here)
Today we have an eye look. I am obsessed with gold these days, and especially, super, extra obsessed with rose gold. I can sit for hours and just stare with admiration at my Michael Kors rose gold watch. So as I sat swooning over my timepiece I was inspired to create today’s look.
Step 1. Place a rose gold eyeshadow base over the whole lid and into the crease. You can use a regular primer as well, but I wanted to make the rose gold as rosy and gold as possible!
Step 2. Use a rose gold or copper colored shimmer eyeshadow and place it over the entire mobile lid, blending gently into the crease but not past it.
Step 3. Use a dark brown shadow on a smaller brush and place it in the crease and dab it onto the outer corner of the mobile lid to add definition. Blend it into the rosy gold with the same brush you used to apply the gold color, and blend the crease out toward the brow with a clean blending brush.
Step 4. Drag to dark brown color under the lower lash line with the same small brush. Using a clean, small angled brush to bring some of the gold color under the lash line as well, blending it in with the brown.
Step 5. With a blending brush (either a clean one, or the same one, just wiped off very well) take a matte pink blush and blend it into the edge of the dark brown. At this point I was not satisfied with the rosy-ness of this rose gold, so I decided to add a pink to amp up the rose. I also think it makes it look a bit softer and more finished. You can also use a matte pink eyeshadow if you for some reason prefer it, or don’t own a matte blush.
Step 6. I used a shimmery light pink color to highlight the inner corner and under the brow, blending it gently into the the other shadows, just a little. Careful not to over blend.
Step 7. Line the top lash line with a dark black liquid liner, flicking it out just slightly at the end so that it meets with the dark brown, line the waterline with a dark brown liner pencil, finish with mascara and done!
Easy Peasy!
The nice thing about using a blush to add pinkness and warmth to an eye look is that if you use the same blush on your cheeks, it makes it look really cohesive and put together. You can also do this with bronzer when blending out a dark smokey eye, but that is a discussion for another day.
Thats it for this look, I will link all of the products I used below.

PRODUCTS USED:
Just FYI, I usually link products through amazon for two reasons, first because I use amazon to buy about 70% of my makeup, the customer service is great because sellers don’t want bad ratings, the reviews are verified and you can often find things that are sold out elsewhere. The other reason is because I am an amazon affiliate, so I get tiny bit of commission over time when people buy on amazon through my site. HOWEVER, I will never ever link you guys to something that they are price gouging! (even if it’s only a few dollars) Some independent sellers on Amazon sometimes take advantage of naivety by marking things up and saying they are sold out everywhere else when they are not. So in these cases I will link you guys directly to Sephora or MAC or wherever. Amazon money is nice, but I want you guys to trust my recommendations first and foremost!
