Man I have to say that I feel really lucky that my skin has been super duper clear recently. I think my current skincare routine is really hitting the mark, but every now and then, especially around that time of the month an ugly little red friend likes to rear it’s head. Due to the fact that I don’t get breakouts much I don’t really keep acne treatments on hand, and to be honest I don’t usually find them all that effective anyway. So on the occasion that I need it, I like to make a quick, easy, DIY spot mask. Since it works better than any over the counter spot treatment I’ve tried I figured I would share my recipe with you guys! Wee!
This DIY spot mask is all natural, but it’s still a little harsh on the skin if you aren’t careful. So for that reason I don’t recommend using it on large areas of the face and even on just on or two spots I only leave this on for 5-10 minutes. It can be very drying if you over-do it. Also if your skin is too sensitive for tea tree oil then this ain’t the mask for you. But if you aren’t a delicate flower and you don’t leave it too long, this quick treatment is bomb for shortening the lifespan of pimples.
All you need a are three ingredients:
(NOTE: You may need more or less water depending on how dry your clay is and how dry your climate is. Start with 1/2 Tsp and slowly add more if need be)
In case you forgot that I look like an awkward middle schooler without hair and makeup here is your reminder
Simply mix the ingredients in a small container and apply them where you have a pimple. It may remain a little lumpy, but as long as it sits on top of the spot that needs to be treated it’s fine. Like I said, only leave it on for 5-10 minutes and it should help shorten the life of your pimple big time.
I’m not an expert on skin, and I’m certainly not a dermatologist, but I’ll be damned if this doesn’t work for me so hopefully it will help you guys a bit too!
