Call me a trendy bish, but I have been a slave to matte nude lipstick lately. I already mentioned a few in previous posts, and I feel like my brain no worky to form the words today, so this is going to be a picture heavy post rather than a word heavy one . . .see? I can barely even get out the words to explain how bad I am at making words right now.
These are the matte nude lipstick shades I have been rocking non stop as of late so obviously I dig them. If you have been looking for a new matte nude lip or two hopefully you’ll be able to find some inspiration in this bunch. I tried to give it a little variety both in color and price range, so theres something for everyone.
This shade is SO good. It’s so simple and doesn’t jump out at you as amazing right away but it’s just enough nude to be edgy, just enough pink to give a healthy glow to the skin and it will work on most any skin tone. Personally I like the Studded kiss formula better than the liquid lipstick formula (I know, blasphemy!) but they do have the shade in both formulas. (If you’re reading this right after I posted it, I am giving one away! Go enter it’s totes worth it!)
This is very close to Lolita so if you are having a hard time finding that this may be a good alternative. LA splash is pretty new to me, but this is insanely long wearing and pretty affordable too. So far I approve.
This is way more of a nude nude than i usually go for, but the pigmentation is so good that it cancels out all my natural lip color and actually looks really flattering. I really like the Anastasia Liquid Lips formula because the finish is satiny and they wear very well, but I highly recommend wearing a light, hydrating balm under them, as I find that it makes them apply much nicer. Personally I like using Lucas Papaw.
This is definitely more on the pink side of nude, but its very neutral and really good for those days when you want a polished looking lipstick, with full coverage but don’t necessarily want it to be in-yo-face. Does that make sense? It’s not too nude, it’s not too bright, but it’s still “done” looking. I Like.
I have been digging this color for days when I want a warmer nude that’s still really pale. Color pop is very impressive! I thought it might just be instagram hype, but for a company that sells everything for five dollars the quality is really incredible and their formulas are very unique! Oh…and the lipsticks smell exactly like the vanilla scratch and sniff my little pony dolls I had as a kid, so that’s a win.
This mauve is great on its own, and it’s great for adding depth and edge to plum colors. It’s on the dry side, but that helps it wear for a really long time, and it’s super affordable.
I have been suing this pencil forEVER and I’m not stopping anytime soon. If you only need one matte nude in your life, make it this one. It’s a lipliner, but I use it all over the lip all the time and it’s seriously my favorite. I love all these colors, but this one is holy grail status.
Look at that, I wound up blabbing a whole bunch anyway! Hopefully it makes an iota of sense, if not the swatches speak for themselves 😉
Do you have any matte nude lipstick shades you swear by? Let me know cuz I’m obsessed.
