At this point you should have something that looks like the picture above, and it is going to smell so good that you will want to eat it. It smells like coffee and donuts. (Full disclosure, I tasted it and it was delicious) Now like I mentioned in my last DIY SPA DAY post, you want to stand in the tub or shower and scrub this all over you before you turn on the water, in order to get maximum scrubbage out of it. The coffee makes it a bit more gentle than a full on sugar scrub, but still don’t over-do it. You want to exfoliate, not scrape your skin off. You can do this all over your body too, not just the legs. Tank top season is coming too after all. A few notes: 1. When you start rubbing it in, you may see large chunks of scrub falling into the tub. I know when I saw that I was just imagining the phone conversation I would need to have with my boyfriend “Hey can you pick up some Drano?….Because I clogged the tub with a homemade concoction of coffee grounds and coconut oil….?” BUT don’t be alarmed, as soon as I turned on the water the clumps disintegrated and went right down the drain without issue. . . thank god! Hahaha 2. Be cautious! The tub might get slippery. Make sure you rinse everything down well and be extra careful! Falling in the tub is not cool. 3. As you rub it in, your hands may look like they are permanently stained with coffee, but it will rinse off easily, I promise! 4. If your grocery store or local health store don’t sell coconut oil, you can try it with olive oil, but it wont smell as nice (And I like the results with coconut much better!) or you can order my favorite coconut oil on amazon HERE So give this a try and let me know in the comments if you see cellulite results, or if you know more about it than I do.
